The District will reimburse the $120 administrative fee for Olympic Valley Garbage Customers that use Placer County’s interest-free loan program to purchase and install a bear box. Review the flyer to learn more here.

- The 4th of July parade in Truckee is always a fun event and we love to show off our original engine or "granny".  She is out of service now but comes out once a year to chauffeur the local kids down the parade route.  Check Out The Pics Here.

 

- The annual Pancake Breakfast is a Olympic Valley tradition on Memorial Day weekend.  The Olympic Valley Fire Department hosts the local community for a breakfast prepared by the firefighters to fuel the folks going out to clean up the valley.  Here Are Some Pictures.

 

- The Creekside Elementary School children stopped by OVFD for a tour of the station and fire safety tips from the firefighters.  Some lucky kids even got to flow some water from Brush 21!  Thanks to all the teachers and parents for making fire safety a priority.  Click here for the photos.

 

- BIG Truck day in the Village At Squaw Valley is a great summertime event that everyone enjoys.  We park Brush 21 in the middle of the village and answer all types of questions from the public about the Fire Department.  We also let the kids climb aboard our big truck with a special fire department helmet!
